I'm currently developing some basic resources for a piece of software, whilst i have no problems with all the main aspects of using InstallSimple i have been told by the softwares developer if i use an installer then i must create a key for the path due to the differences in the many windows OS users may install it upon.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and the path where i want the files to go for me is...

This is a precise path and i was told by the developer this is fine for Vista and Windows 7 but not for different versions of windows in different countries. He gave me a key string as follows....

Install in the color schemes directory of the user. This will change from OS to OS and from country to country. You need to use...

CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA as a registry key, then add
"\GoldSoftware\ArtSpray\Schemes" to it.

How do i do this in InstallSimple? and how does this affect the paths set prior to the Registry entry setup where you can set a special folder which i keep off and set a path as mentioned above

In september we will release the InstallSimple 2.3
CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA and some other keys will be added to this version.
And also we'll add a sample installation project for beginners...

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know.
